Adjudicator

Adjudicator

Canada   |   Contract

Adjudicators work in close collaboration with the Competition Director and fellow adjudicators to score routines based on the performance, technique and choreographer of the routine. You are responsible for ensuring that scores within a section (Performance Division, Age, and Category) reflect the proper ranking regarding placement for overalls. You enter scores electronically via Mac provided to you for the event.

You are expected to combine your training, experience, and dance knowledge to provide meaningful feedback to the dancer(s). You record audio commentary that we overlay on the video of the routine. Remarks are for the dancer(s), not the choreographer or studio. If necessary, you can add notes to the electronic scorecard.

You will also be required to assist in the distribution of adjudication recognition and overall awards. You will also be asked to nominate individual awards on a session-by-session basis and work with the Competition Direction in the selection of some of our unique Eye Of The Storm awarded at the end of the event.
